Principals
President, Robert F. Butler, CPA. Prior to starting the firm in 1981, Rob worked at Pricewaterhouse Coopers as an auditor manager for 7.5 years and spent two years at Rogoff Erickson Diamond & Walker (now REDW – The Rogoff Firm) as an audit and tax manager. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelors of University Studies with a concentration in Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration. Rob’s expertise lies in helping small businesses grow through in-depth consulting and analytical tax and accounting advice.
Rob serves on the boards of Zia Trust, Inc., Basis International Inc, and the Better Business Bureau of New Mexico. He is a charter member of the Rotary Club of Albuquerque Del Norte and enjoys golf and fishing in his free time. Chris, aka Saint Chris, and Rob have been married for forty years, much to their amazement.

 Shareholder, Jason M. Deshayes, CPA. A graduate of the University of New Mexico’s Anderson Schools of Management, Jason has been in public practice since 2003. Jason’s tax expertise lies in professional services, individual taxation and business start-ups. Jason also consults on other financial matters, including improving business and personal cash flow, business organization and succession planning. Prior to joining with Robert F. Butler CPA PC, Jason worked in a regional public accounting firm, as well as a mid-sized local firm.
Jason serves as National President Elect of the Active 20-30 Club of US and Canada and the Past President of the Active 20-30 Club of Albuquerque. Jason is a member of the Leadership Team of the Albuquerque chapter of Kingdom Advisors, a board member of the Children's Grief Center of New Mexico, a finance committee member for the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and a member of the Executive Committee for the Private Company Practice Section of the American Institute of CPAs. Outside of the office, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife, Tina, and their dogs. His hobbies include travelling, home-brewing and watching football.
Jason was recently honored as one of New Mexico's "40 under Forty" by the New Mexico Business Weekly.

Administrative Team
Client Accounting Specialist, Sylvia O'Brien. Sylvia is our Client Accounting Specialist and resident QuickBooks guru. Sylvia graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a degree in Business with a focus in Accounting. Her specialties lie in the preparation of financial statements for our clients, as well as training client personnel on QuickBooks and other bookkeeping functions. Sylvia and her husband, Chuck, have two children, Tyler and Paige.

Payroll Specialist, Cathy Wahler. Cathy is a Payroll Specialist who has been actively handling all aspects of payroll for eight years and has been with Payroll Professionals, Ltd. for the last three years. Cathy has lived in Albuquerque for nineteen years and attended college at the University of New Mexico, where she studied Psychology. She’s married to Dave and they have a son, James. Cathy enjoys spending time with her dog, reading and karaoke.

Client Accounting and Payroll Processor, Chris Butler. Chris has been sitting at the front desk of Robert F. Butler CPA PC for thirty years. She earned an undergraduate degree at the University of New Mexico and a Masters degree at Arizona State University, both in elementary education. Chris and Rob has been married for forty years and raised two children, who are now married.
